Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Advocacy
We provide culturally appropriate holistic support for Hmoob survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault for women, youth, lgbtqia+, and elders in La Crosse County. If you are not from our are of service, we work collaborative with the Wisconsin Family Strengthening Helpline to refer to you other culturally specific social services agencies in the state.
We provide FREE and CONFIDEINTIAL domestic violence (DV) and sexual assault services to assist victims with the necessary resources and assistance to deal with the personal, social, and legal implications of victimizations by DV/SA. Our advocates are trained to listen without judgment and to help you decide what your next steps will be.

Services we offer:

Bilingual Hmoob advocates to support Hmoob victims and survivors of all ages

Information & referrals to victim service providers and community resources

Accompaniment to emergency medical care, medical forensics exams, and follow-up medical appointments

​Assistance in applying for public benefits, return of personal property, etc.

Emotional and safety services, including crisis intervention and safety planning
- Referral to local DV shelters and/or other housing assistance

Housing assistance support through our housing program

Assistance with law enforcement interviews, help obtaining a protection or restraining order if desired
- Referrals for legal advice and support when attending court​​
